In May I went to Mallorca on a college trip, during this trip we made a airside trip at Palma Airport and on one of the other days we had free we had a chance to go spotting at the airport for the day while the rest of the group went to Palma city to go shops, bars and restaurants while a select few of us opted to stand out on a carpark with no shade, limit drinks and food all day in high temperatures (Talk about dedication).
05.05.11 Airside Trip at Palma Airport:
As we first drove airside I caught this Iberworld parked on remote, awful lighting but as I wont get airside at Palma again it makes up for the fact.
As we drove back from the bird center down the taxiway past the runway we parked up and the bus driver and airport official said that we were not allowed to leave the bus, however this did not stop me quickly stepping out to catch this Ryanair taking off.
Also parked on remote the Monarch special titles promoting the royal wedding.
As we were airside someone else on the bus noticed the Iron Maiden B757 pushing back and got the bus to race back across the ramp to it so we could photograph it, surely this would be a one time only chance of seeing this at Palma I thought, well little did I know I would see it every time I returned to the airport.
